Dr. Knight, brings unique talents to Smooth Street. He has been featured repeatedly in Newsday, Black Belt Magazine, Inside Tae Kwondo Magazine, Bayside Times, Great Neck Record and many other newspapers & magazines and has appeared on TV for his charity works. He has received numerous commendations from US and state Senators, Assembly & Council members and US and state representatives and NYC mayor for his martial arts sponsorship of the Drug Free Marshall programs (coordinated with the NYPD), Safety Awareness Day (coordinated with the NYPD, NYFD & EMS Services) and community education programs featuring the American Heart Association.

Dr. Knight holds a 4th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and has trained directly under the U.S. Olympic team coach. He has managed or provided consulting services to studio chains with thousands of students, including Y.H. Park’s Tae Kwon Do, Tiger Schulmann’s Karate, and T-USA national seminar, a 200 member school chain, in addition to owning and operating his own studios. He has provided management, financial and business consulting to a number of private and public companies and has established startup and related companies that raised millions of dollars in equity capital and filed to go public. His interest in Ballroom Dancing as an Olympic Sport and management systems for the studios promotes the interests of Smooth Street.
